Land of Mothers Manifesto
Birth is not just about bringing a child into the world; it is about bringing a mother into being.
At Land of Mothers, I honour birth as a threshold, a sacred crossing from one state of being to another. I believe that no mother should have to navigate this passage alone, especially far from the land that raised her.
I STAND FORβ¦
Embodied Birth
My approach weaves traditional and modern birth practices to support women in embodied birth and postpartum recovery. By combining ancient eastern techniques with evidence-based guidance, I help you move with confidence, awareness, and trust in your bodyβs natural strength.
Sovereignity & Trust
Birth belongs to you. You carry the wisdom within, and I guide you back to it. I support you in making informed choices so you can feel confident, safe, and fully present throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Slowness & Presence
In a world that moves fast, I create space to slow down. Through gentle rebozo work, mindful movement, and nurturing practices, I help you reconnect with your body, your baby, and the natural rhythm of your journey. Using touch and warmth, I calm the nervous system and support the bodyβs natural restoration.
Connection
Motherhood is not meant to be walked alone. I hold space for you to feel seen, supported, and connected-to yourself, your partner, your baby, and the unseen threads linking mothers across time and place.
The Sacred Land of Birth
Birth is not just physical; it is spiritual and deeply connected to the land beneath your feet. If you birth far from home, I help you create a sacred birth space that feels like home -honouring that where you birth shapes your new identity.
Intentional & Inclusive Care
As a mother of bi-racial children, I bring lived experience of nurturing children across cultures and navigating the complexities of systemic inequities. This awareness informs my work, guiding me to create spaces that are supportive, equitable, and empowering for all families. I approach birthwork with intention and care, centering sovereignty, presence, and connection, honouring the sacredness of this transition in a world that often overlooks it.
Welcome to Land of Mothers.
With love,
AmΓ©lie
